I love cooking! Ever since I was a young girl that’s one of the things I always wanted to do was cook for my family. There seems to not be enough time to cook some days but I want my family to get a home cooked meal the majority of the time sitting together and enjoying it.

I raided a bunch of the old cookbooks at my dad’s house that were put together by different groups. I now want to cook as many of the yummy recipes as I can and share them with you. I love to share recipes and am so grateful so many other women did way back when. It’s a shame when women don’t want to share some of their “special” recipes because that’s how they get passed down and that’s where memories are made at least in my humble opinion.

I told my husband I feel kinda sorry for our children especially our grandchildren because they’ll never know the slow paced living of back when. They just know the living of this crazy technology driven world. But please slow down with me and enjoy trying some of these old recipes. If you do try one of these recipes, please tell me how you like it in the comment section. And if you have an old recipe that you want me to try please share I would love to make it!

I’ll always post the cookbook and date (if given) but not the contributors name because I wouldn’t appreciate it if someone was randomly putting my name on the world wide web!
